One of the best parts of my job is receiving customer compliments… We do our best not to boast but we are truly delighted when our precious customers take the time to thank us for the job that we do.

One of my favourites came from a new customer

We have recently also confirmed most of our pre-Christmas sales evening dates, where potential customers have the opportunity to see a range of our lovely Lily and Lime gifts and homeware products and purchase on a ‘face to face’ basis. The internet truly is a wonderful invention but we do enjoy meeting customers personally and seeing their interest in ‘our story’ and our products. Yes, we are disappearing under a big pile of boxes! But lots of boxes means lots of exciting new products.

The fab Vintage French Wall Art is gorgeous, really quirky and unusual. We loved it so much, we’ve commissioned a special ‘LOVE’ design, making it perfect for a wedding or just to tell someone (or yourself!) how much you care.

Boxes, boxes and more boxes!

Mid September sunshine has arrived in a flurry of stock boxes and a chaos of new school routines!

Our freshly sourced childrens party gifts are proving popular and we are improving our giftwrapping of cylindrical shaped objects, as our new Puppet Kits are presented in fun spotty tubes, which we then giftwrap to provide Mums with a simple party gift solution.

Initial sales of our ladies and gents Priceless Sterling Silver Tag Necklaces have been fantastic and it is fabulous to find some such a simple product that is designed in the UK and priced so competitively.

Pre-orders have also been strong for our new range of beautiful hand embroidered homewares which arrive later this week. My personal favourite is the Jam Notebook which combines whimsical style with practicality and each notebook is slightly different due to the use of vintage fabrics.

Back to unpacking stock and packaging orders although none of us are keen to stockcheck our packaging … when you can count and check lovely homeware or jewellery products why would you want to count cardboard boxes and bubble wrap?

Birmingham and Boxes!

We have just returned from the Autumn Fair at the NEC, generally not one of our favorite sourcing shows as it is much too large, but we feel we have discovered some real gems this time!

The children will be delighted with our new Puppet Kits, my favourites include the Spaceman Puppet Kit for the lads and the Ballerina Puppet Kit for girls and we are truly delighted to add several of the fantastic RosieFlo Colouring Books to our range.

For ladies and gents the beautiful Priceless Tag Necklaces will hit the spot this season, Sarah we are so pleased to add you to our supplier list, your product is stunning!

Our homeware ranges also see many new products arriving (most of which in huge boxes) and two of our predicted bestsellers are the Enamelware Blackboard Herb Pot Set, equally suitable for country or more contemporary style kitchens and our Mans Best Friend Doorstop.

Autumn is on it's way... just as summer arrives

Our Autumn products have started arriving just as the second burst of warmer weather appears to have arrived, I knew we should have expected rain when the weather forecasters in April predicted a "BBQ summer*!

Some of our staff favourite products include our quirky cream enamelware Tuck Boxes and Cake and Biscuit Tin Sets, each are just perfect for hiding your favourite sweet treats (one of the Tuck Boxes will be appearing in our office soon girls!).

They love our style!

We are absolutely thrilled at the degree of press interest we have received recently and it seems set to continue into the Autumn-Winter period. Ideal Home magazine have recently confirmed that seven of our products are to featured in the November edition including our favourite Chunky Cable Throws and With Love Candles. We are expecting orders for these products to be particularly strong in the pre Christmas period so why not ensure you don’t miss out, both are in stock now!

Several of our newest homeware gift ideas have also been featured in high profile publications recently including the delightful Dotty Spotty Table Linen in Period House magazine in August 2009 and our best-selling hand painted Shaker Style Mugs in Beautiful Kitchen magazine in the September 2009 edition.

We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our Celebration Bunting and we are delighted to confirm that it has just reached us. Pre-orders for this product have been particularly strong and I we are going to be incorporating it into a number of product displays over the forthcoming months.

If a total bedroom remodel is out of the question how about a fresh coat of paint and a string of either the Original or Cool Boy Bunting for a stylish update any child will be proud of.

East of India products have always been popular with many of our customers and over the next few days we will be adding additional items to our collection. Our staff favourite is the romantic yet sensible Magnetic Heart Message Board which arrives complete with two adorable heart shaped magnets and a hanging loop.

We are pleased to announce our latest Competition Winners, Mr HG Brooks of Kent L Rowles of Merseyside have each won £50 to spend on gifts in our Monthly Competition for May and June respectively and A Pickering and Mrs N Thompson of Leicestershire have each won a colourful Pantone Purse in recent daily competitions.

We just wanted to say “Thank You” for the wonderful feedback we have received since our decision to include a tiny chocolate treat in each delivery parcel.
We love chocolate and so brand and product selection was an extremely difficult task, which involved much product examination and (yes you have guessed it)tasting!

We appreciate our customers choosing Lily and Lime for their gifts, but appreciate that on most occasions the gorgeously giftwrapped presents we place in the boxes, are for others to enjoy not the purchaser… so the chocolates are just our way of saying “Thank You”.
